Rodney looking to introduce Development Contributions
Rodney District Council is working towards introducing a development contributions policy, as part of its Long Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP) 2009-19.
“This change is necessary to ensure Council receives adequate funding to provide the needed bulk infrastructure in areas designated for development,” explains RDC Manager Infrastructure Funding John Hall.
He says more details about the Council’s proposed development contributions policy are available on the RDC website www.rodney.govt.nz.
“As part of RDC’s on-going commitment to public consultation, Council is also arranging a series of public meetings for people to learn more about what is proposed and to have their say on these proposals,” Mr Hall added.
The
meetings will be held on the following dates and locations:
• January 29, 5 to 7pm Warkworth Masonic Hall;
•
February 2, 5 to 7pm Helensville Service Centre;
•
February 3, 2009 5 to 7pm Orewa Offices – Council
Chambers;
Members of the public are welcome to attend
any or all of these
meetings.
