Nominations open for Eden/Albert Community Board
by-election
Nominations are sought for a new member of the Eden/Albert community board following the resignation of sitting member, Elinor Harvey earlier this month.
A by-election will take place on Thursday, 9 April 2009.
Nominations for the position open on Wednesday, 21 January and close at noon on Wednesday, 18 February 2009.
To be eligible to stand for the position, a candidate must be a New Zealand citizen who is enrolled as a parliamentary elector anywhere in New Zealand.
Candidates must be nominated on a nomination paper obtainable during normal business hours from one of the following:
Electoral office, Independent Election Services Ltd, ground floor, Bledisloe House, 24 Wellesley Street West, Auckland

by phoning the Auckland City Council electoral officer on 307 7211.
A postal ballot of the 49,000 Eden-Albert community electors will commence on 18 March when voting documents are delivered. All votes must be returned by noon on Thursday, 9 April
