Great deal for wine lovers at Waiheke Wine Festival

Wine enthusiasts and anyone who appreciates a great summer festival day out with award winning wine and quality live music can secure a great deal at the Waiheke Wine Festival this Saturday, 7 February.

Groups of 5 who purchase online at Ticketek will only pay for four tickets. This deal is only available for online pre-purchase and represents a saving of $13 per person – enough for a couple of glasses of wine. Individual tickets booked online will be $65 each. Children under 13 will be given free entry if accompanied by a parent.

Organisers are pleased to announce that tickets will now also be on sale at the gate on Saturday for $65.

The quality music on offer from the likes of Nathan Haines and Autozamm will ensure this is a superb summer festival day to remember in the Valley of the Vines. Also performing live onstage will be James Reid from The Feelers with Donald Reid, House of Shem, Andrew White and The Septembers.  Singer songwriter Miriam Clancy will kick start the event and rockers Autozamm will bring the day’s festivities to a lively close.

Eleven local vineyards will take part: Cable Bay, Goldwater Estate, Isola Estate, Man O’ War, Mudbrick, Obsidian, Passage Rock, Poderi Crisci, Ridgeview, Stonyridge and Te Motu. The only non-local wine to be featured is the Special Cuvee from Champagne Bollinger. These fine wines will be matched with a variety of delicious food, some locally produced and some from further afield.
