Iron Maiden fans travel to ‘Somewhere Back in Time’ for free

On Friday 20 February, Iron Maiden fans that have pre-purchased tickets to see the ‘Somewhere back in Time’ concert at Mt Smart stadium can travel for free aboard public transport services to and from the event.

Train services

Additional train services will be running on all lines to Penrose station, which is just a short walk to Mt Smart stadium, before and after the event. Concert-goers travelling by train can travel for free by showing their pre-purchased concert ticket on-board trains to Penrose from 6pm onwards.

Passengers are reminded to keep their concert tickets in order to travel for free on trains departing from Penrose following the concert.

Normal fares will apply to those travelling before 6pm, or without a concert ticket.

Bus services

Special bus services will also be operating to take fans to and from the event. Passengers showing pre-paid concert tickets travel for free, otherwise special fares apply.

Henderson Interchange (Railside Avenue, Stop A)/6:30pm
7:00pm/$6.00 one way/Direct service
Midtown
(Queen Street, Stop C2 and
Outside Civic Theatre, Stop C6)/Every 10 mins from 6:30pm – 8:30pm/$4.00 one way/Direct service

Travelling from Mt Smart:

Bus services will depart from drop-off locations following the concert.

Aucklanders planning to use public transport to travel to see Iron Maiden at Mt Smart are advised to leave plenty of time for the journey, and can get more information from MAXX on (09) 366 6400 or at www.maxx.co.nz
