Young Community Leaders Awards 2009
The Community Trust of Wellington is sponsoring the Young Community Leaders Awards 2009. They are looking for outstanding young people (under 25) who are involved in not-for-profit organisations around the Greater Wellington region and are active in a leadership role.
The five winners will each receive $1,000 cash which will be presented at a special ceremony hosted by Their Excellencies The Governor General The Honourable Anand Satyanand and Susan Satyanand.
Nominees are judged by an independent panel who are well known within their field. The selected finalists attend a presentation and discussion forum with speakers who are inspirational leaders within our community prior to the ceremony. The speakers are selected for having been involved in varying organisations and successful in their chosen careers both within NZ and internationally. The winners will be announced at the Government House presentation ceremony.
The nominees can be in a paid or un-paid role, must be under 25 and live in Kapiti, Porirua, Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt or Wellington.
Nominations are now open and close on 31st March 2009.
