Super 14 fans travel on selected buses to the game for free this Good Friday

This Good Friday (10 April), watch the Blues take on the Lions in the Super 14 tournament at Eden Park. Rugby fans who have pre-purchased their game tickets, or have an Eden Park membership card, can travel to and from the match on selected buses for free.

Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) General Manager, Customer Services, Mark Lambert says, "The game kicks-off at 7.35pm and ticket-holders and Eden Park members can catch a ride to and from the game on selected bus services for free. Rugby fans are reminded that as it is Good Friday, there are no trains running on the entire rail network, and regular bus services will be running to public holiday (Sunday) timetables.”

Free travel is available on special bus services departing from Albany Park and Ride at 6.00pm and 6.30pm travelling to Eden Park via all Northern Busway stations. Return services will depart from Eden Park to the North Shore from 9.15pm onwards. For those without a valid match ticket or Eden Park membership card a $5 cash fare will apply each way.

A shuttle bus to the event will run at 10-minute intervals from Midtown, departing from outside the Civic Centre on Queen Street, between 5.30pm and 7.10pm. Return services will depart from Eden Park from 9.15pm onwards. Passengers must show a valid game ticket or Eden Park membership card to be entitled to free travel otherwise a $2 cash fare each way will apply.

Further to these additional services, several regular bus services will also take rugby fans to Eden Park. As it is Good Friday, bus services will be running to a public holiday timetable. Free travel is not available on these buses and normal bus fares from all stops apply.

Please remember that no trains or rail bus replacements will be running on the entire rail network on Good Friday.
