Demolition Arrangements
The demolition of a number of old hospital buildings at Southland Hospital is due to commence from 4 May 2009, however there will be several site restrictions in place from next week.
From Monday, 27 April , Gate 4 on Kew Road will be closed. All those needing access to Southland Hospice, the STI clinic, Mortuary, Supply and other services in this area will need to use Gate 1 on Elles Road instead.
The building demolition project will be carried out in five stages, from May until late August 2009. There will be some noise disruption during business hours and at the weekends during this period.
The public are asked to treat all fenced off areas on Southland District Health Board property as a hazardous construction site and to keep well away from these areas.
We thank the public for their patience during this time.
