GO Wellington – go give life

A dramatic, new-look bus aimed at raising awareness of the work of the Neonatal Trust will be taking to the streets of Wellington from tomorrow as part of GO Wellington’s highly visual community-branded bus fleet.

The Neonatal Trust, of whom GO Wellington has been a proud supporter for over two years, supports parents of premature or sick babies. It also assists the Neonatal Unit at Wellington Hospital by purchasing or contributing to the cost of equipment, education of medical staff and medical research.

“At GO Wellington we believe we have a role to play is supporting our community, which is why we support organisations, such as the Neonatal Trust,” says Bruce Kenyon, General Manager, GO Wellington. “The new-look Neonatal Bus will act as a moving billboard for this charity, raising its profile in the community and making people think about what we all tend to take for granted – uncomplicated births and healthy babies.”

“In Wellington, over 55,000 people travel on our buses every day. Add to that other road-users who will see the bus, and you have a huge potential audience for showcasing the great work performed by this local organisation,” says Mr Kenyon.

Neonatal Trust Treasurer, Michael Meads, says the partnership with GO Wellington helps strengthen the Trust’s connections with the rest of the city.

“We believe the Neonatal Bus will be a very effective way of letting people know about the Trust and the work we do, and hopefully encouraging people to support us. We are delighted with GO Wellington for their continued sponsorship of the Neonatal Trust and look forward to an ongoing, mutually supportive partnership with them.”

GO Wellington’s other community partnerships include the Wellington Zoo, Karori Sanctuary Trust, Island Bay Marine Education Centre and the Wellington Museum Trust.
