Young designers wear Auckland on their
sleeve
Design students are being asked to put their
mark on Auckland with the Auckland on a tee shirt
competition running from 6 July – 7 August.
Young designers are challenged to wear their creative talents on their sleeve so-to-speak and develop an iconic and memorable tee shirt.
Judge and 2010 Auckland Council Candidate Rob Thomas said: “Tapping into the creative energy of talented young Aucklanders is a great way to engage more people in local government and make it relevant so that we can build a truly vibrant city. There are a lot of young Aucklanders that are passionate about their city and I am excited to see how they will represent that."
Entrants will receive feedback from an expert judging panel including former Auckland Mayor Christine Fletcher and Edward Fuller, DEgroup Head of Design.
The overall winner will be presented with an Apple MacBook valued at $1,799 at a special awards ceremony on 13 August at the Magnum Mac store in Newmarket.
The competition is exclusively open to Auckland design students. For more information and to download an entry form visit www.robthomas.co.nz.
