Bowl the Basin flyover? Mt Vic residents have their say
Mt Victoria residents will have their chance to have a say on the proposed flyover around the Basin Reserve this Tuesday after being ignored in the debate by decision makers.
Wellington City and Greater Wellington Regional Council and the New Zealand Transport Agency have committed to spending $33m on the project.
Organisers of the campaign to save the Basin Reserve and Mt Victoria residents Iona Pannett and Kent Duston say that in spite of their being a number of stages of consultation so far on the project that organisations behind the flyover have not engaged with the community. The hope is to give residents and other interested members of the public that chance this coming week.
