Settlement planning assistance for newcomers to Manukau City
Settlement Support New Zealand (SSNZ) Manukau will be holding a settlement planning and information session, at which newcomers will be able to talk with a panel of key service providers, who will answer questions about settling in New Zealand.
The session will be held at the Auckland Regional Migrant Services, Manukau Centre, 6 Osterley Way, Manukau City, on 28 of August 2009 from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon.
All newcomers and settlers will be welcome to attend and share their questions and experiences.
SSNZ is an initiative of the Department of Labour that helps migrants, refugees and their families to access appropriate information and ensures that services are responsive to their needs.
“This is an opportunity for newcomers to have their questions answered, establish contacts and networks and gain a sense of belonging, knowing that there is support available to assist newcomers settle better,” says Manukau Settlement Support Coordinator Vimbai Mugadza.
