Napier-Taupo road closed due to snow
The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that State Highway 5 between Napier and Taupo is closed due to heavy snow.
Contractors are working to clear the road but the highway will remain closed overnight.
The NZTA hopes to reopen the road by tomorrow afternoon, conditional on weather conditions improving. An update will be issued in the morning.
The NZTA thanks motorists for their patience during this closure.
