Event 10th November: Documenting Art & Filming
Event 10th November: Documenting Art & Filming Projects
Experienced Focus puller and DOP, Andy Chappell, will discuss the do’s and don’t of shooting Art projects. How do you go about planning a shoot? What skills, or skilled people do you need? What are the real costs?
In order to discuss the basics of shooting video, Andy will be drawing on his experiences as a Cameraman on such diverse projects as “My Sweet Town” (a DVD of a musical performance by the Wooden Box Band), The Wellington Netball Fashion show, a Sarah Jane Parton dance video as well as numerous short films, music videos, documentaries and art instillations.
The Arts Hub Forums are hosted by Hutt Valley Community Arts with the assistance of the Creative Communities Hutt City Funding Scheme. They provide artists an opportunity to learn, discuss, network, and create, and a place to voice ideas and concerns, share resources, and seek answers.
