Durex Helps Get It on for World Aids Day

Media Release

Durex Helps Get It on for World Aids Day

Durex is showing its support for World AIDS Day (1st December) through being a key supporter of the New Zealand AIDS Foundation (NZAF) to help raise awareness of HIV and AIDS and promote safe sex.

NZAF aims to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS and provide support for those affected. In addition to HIV testing, NZAF provides free counselling services, support groups and information for those infected with HIV and their friends, family and whanau.

Condoms play a vital role in preventing the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as syphilis, genital warts and herpes. The HIV virus cannot pass through intact latex which is why condoms are recognised globally as a highly effective weapon in helping prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.

To coincide with World AIDS Day Durex has launched its latest condom innovation, Durex Natural Feel and is encouraging more New Zealanders to ‘Get It On’.

New Durex Natural Feel condoms feature an ultra fine natural rubber with added lubricant for extra sensitivity and comfort. Like the rest of the Durex range, Natural Feel contains a special ingredient to mask the rubber smell often found with condoms.

Durex Natural Feel condoms are available from leading supermarkets and pharmacies, or online at www.durex.co.nz

On Friday 27th November volunteer collectors will be fundraising on the streets in support of the NZAF. If you see one of the friendly collectors, be sure to donate and wear your NZAF red ribbon with pride.
