Buses offer the Express way to the Big Day Out!

Big Day Out music lovers can enjoy an easy and economical way to get to and from the 15 January event with the Big Day Out Express bus service.

The special bus service will depart from outside Real Groovy Records on Queen Street and will run at regular intervals from 9am through to 2pm, dropping Big Day Out party goers off right outside the gates at the Mt Smart Stadium event.

After the show, the Express buses will take customers back to the city from a dedicated Big Day Out Express bus stop outside Gate B at the stadium. The buses will run from 9.30pm to approximately 130am and will drop people off outside the St James Theatre, Queen Street.

Presale tickets for the Big Day Out Express bus can be purchased from Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.co.nz / 09 970 9700) or from Real Groovy Records. Or people can just pay cash on the day.

Ticketmaster fares are $15.50 return and will allow you to get in the express lane and beat the queues! Cash fares are $1500 return or $10 one way.

Anyone wanting to party on after the event can catch a NiteRider bus home from 1am – 3.30am. The NiteRider has 10 services operating out of the city and offers a safe, cheap and hassle free way to get home at the end of the night.

NiteRider fares are either $4.50 or $6.50 and you can visit www.maxx.co.nz for more details.
