Million Dollar Home Giveaway Promo Tops $500,000 – 17 Days to Go!

Murray and Michelle Smith of Cambridge are one step closer to homelessness and they couldn’t be happier.

The Smith’s are giving away their million dollar home overlooking Lake Karapiro for just $25 as part of the promotion of a new website – www.apieceofnz.co.nz They aim to raise just over $1 million by 31 January and on Wednesday 13 January they reached the $500,000 mark.

All proceeds from the promotion will be donated to the Synergy (Cambridge) Trust which is the umbrella for Bridges Church in Cambridge. The donation from the Smiths will help fund the construction of a new church and community centre.

“The $500,000 mark is a huge milestone and we’re ecstatic that sales are now really picking up as the promotion cut-off looms. We’ll basically be giving up the only significant asset we own in 17 days and we’re totally at peace with this,” says Murray Smith, homeowner and pastor of Bridges Church in Cambridge.
