Receive civil defence emergency updates from Twitter
The Ministry of Civil Defence & Emergency Management has added a Twitter feed to the emergency status bar on its website www.civildefence.govt.nz .
When the Ministry changes information in the emergency status bar the feed will update the Ministry’s Twitter account http://twitter.com/nzcivildefence The account will send a “tweet” to those following the Ministry’s account. People will be encouraged to forward, or “retweet”, the Ministry’s messages to others.
There is no charge for subscribing to this feed.
