South Island Wins Of $500,000
South Island Wins Of $500,000 For Lotto Winners In Blenheim And Marlborough
Summer may be coming to an end but for two South island Lotto players in Blenheim and Marlborough this weekend will seem longer and brighter after each winning $500,000 with Lotto First Division, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.
The winning tickets were sold at Blenheim New World in Blenheim. The other winner from Marlborough bought their ticket online at MyLotto.co.nz.
Powerball First Division was not struck tonight, so the jackpot for next weekend will be worth an estimated $5 million.
Strike Four was also not struck tonight and will jackpot to $400,000 for next week’s draw.
Tonight’s other big winner was mum of four Fiona Parr from Christchurch, who won a $100,000 shopping spree on Lotto’s Winning Wheel.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.
Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was sold at Hillcrest New World in Hamilton. The serial number is 647-65040130-20XX.
“Anyone who bought a ticket at these retailers should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it as soon as possible at any NZ Lotteries’ outlet," Todd McLeay says.
