Helicopter Transports Electrocuted Man
Westpac Rescue Helicopter transports a man electrocuted from Paraparaumu
The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called today 12th Mar 10 at 9pm to Paraparaumu.
A 63yr old male from Waikanae was believed to have been electrocuted by power lines that had fallen on the road where the patient had been directing traffic around the downed power lines.
The Helicopter responded with a Wellington Free Paramedic onboard.
The patient was transported by a Wellington Free Ambulance to a nearby park where the helicopter was able to land.
He was then flown to Wellington Hospital Emergency department where he is being treated.
