Westpac Rescue Helicopter transports man with abdominal pain to hospital
The Wellington-based Westpac Rescue Helicopter has transported a 62 year old man to hospital this morning suffering from abdominal pain.
The helicopter, with a Wellington Free Ambulance paramedic onboard, was called to a property near Glendhu in the south Wairarapa at approximately 5.30am this morning and was able to land about 500 meters from the patients house.
The man was given pain relief at the scene and then transported by helicopter to the Wellington Hospital Emergency Department, where he is being further assessed and treated.
