Appeal For Mohini Family Raises Over $100,000
Auckland Co-op Taxis says the nationwide appeal for the Mohini family Trust Fund launched and supported by the NZ Taxi Federation, following the tragic death of Hiren Mohini, has raised in excess of $100,000.
Auckland Co-op Taxis General Manager Barrie White says that, on behalf of the Mohini family, the Company expresses it heartfelt thanks for generosity of so many people.
“We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the public. Everyone recognises the challenges Mr Mohini’s family will continue to face well into the future, and the proceeds of this appeal will assist them.
“In addition to this Trust Fund, the family acknowledges with thanks the education fund that has been set up for the Mohini children by Wilkinson Insurance Brokers and its General Manager Conrad Shanley.
“Not for a minute does anyone believe that any level of financial assistance replaces the loss the family is suffering as the result of the death of a dedicated husband and father, but hopefully it will relieve some of the pressures and burdens.”
