Powerball Player In Dunedin Claims Victory

As the supercars battle for victory at the Hamilton V8s this weekend, a Powerball player in Dunedin has won their very own victory with a massive $10.8 million Powerball First Division prize tonight, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

The winning Powerball ticket was sold at Dunedin Paper Plus in Dunedin and is worth a total of $10,845,530 million with $9,785,562 million from Powerball First Division and $1,059,968 from Lotto First Division.

A Strike Four prize of $175,592 was also won by a player who purchased their ticket from Tom's Lucky Lotto Shop Takapuna in North Shore City.

Tonight’s other big winner was Murray Uings from Palmerston North who spun up a $100,000 home upgrade prize on Lotto’s Winning Wheel.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.

Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was sold at AJ’s Lotto & Tobacconist in Tauranga. The serial number is 691-67054596-20XX.

“Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any NZ Lotteries outlet."
