Thrillseekers Accident
A spokesman for The Wood Scenic Line Ltd, in Christchurch, owner of the Thrillseekers Adventures bungy operation at Hanmer Springs, Blair Hartland said:
“We are devastated about the accident at our bungy operation near Hanmer.
A customer was injured and airlifted by Westpac Rescue Helicopter to Christchurch Hospital.
When the accident happened we immediately suspended all operations at the bungy site and they won’t be resumed until there’s been a full investigation into how the accident happened.
This is the first time we’ve had an accident like this and the staff there are very upset.
Our first priority is to find out more about what’s happened and to make sure any family or friends of the person who’s been hurt are looked after.”
