Gallery Treasurer Referred To Police
The Parliamentary Press Gallery has today laid a formal complaint with the police, following an admission by its former Treasurer, Ian Llewellyn, that he misappropriated gallery funds.
The Press Gallery commissioned Pricewaterhouse Coopers to examine its accounts to help establish the amount of money that had been misused by Mr Llewellyn.
That has been completed and, upon its receipt, the Press Gallery has proceeded with a formal complaint.
The Chairwoman of the Press Gallery, Jane Patterson, says she has no further comment, as the matter is now the subject of a police investigation.
