Plenty of Spring activities on rotoruaNZ.com
There are plenty of events happening in our city this spring and the team at Events & Venues Rotorua is reminding locals to check out www.rotoruaNZ.com to keep up-to-date with what is going on.
Major events include the Ekiden relay, Single Speed World Champs, Kurangaituku netball tournament, Bike the Lake, Trout Fishing tournament, BOP vs Otago rugby, Deepawali Festival, Pink Walk, and the Home & Garden Show.
Events & Venues events coordinator Amanda Hohneck says while the next couple of months are especially busy for Rotorua, the website is the best place to go to find out the wide range of sports and activities happening in the community all year round.
“Anyone needing motivation to get off the couch after the winter season just needs to check out the website. People can also sign up to receive emails as soon as new events are listed.
“Warmer weather’s on its way and with over 100 activities currently on offer there’s no excuse for not getting out of the house and enjoying what Rotorua has to offer.”
Ms Hohneck says www.rotoruaNZ.com gets 5,000 hits on its event listing every month and encourages event organisers to load their own events directly on the website.
“The website includes sporting and recreation events, community events, major events, and more. There really is something for everyone.
“Free community advertising is also provided in print, radio and local television mediums, and events are published in our ‘What's On’ flyer, which is printed and distributed around Rotorua.”
To get an event promoted go to www.rotrouanNZ.com/events and click 'submit your event'.
