Casey And Fryer Take To The Streets

Councillors Cathy Casey and Glenda Fryer are taking to the streets for the next two weeks to hold over 100 old fashioned street meetings across the Albert-Eden Roskill ward.

Councillor Casey said "The Albert-Eden-Roskill election will be close. I believe that taking the election to the streets is the only way to ensure that we get out the vote. If we can get people to return their votes, I am sure that the two hard-working local incumbent City Vision councillors will be re-elected."

"I have been knocking doors across the ward every day since the beginning of June. I would have knocked on well over 6,000 doors in that time. Now we need to return to each of those streets and make sure they return their vote for us."

Councillor Glenda Fryer said "I have knocked on the door of every single business, large and small over the past three months in Albert-Eden-Roskill. We have had a very strong campaign and now we are taking the campaign to a new level in local body elections. We will put in an all-out effort in the last two weeks to translate our hard work into returned votes by October 9.

"We are going to put in an all-out effort in the last two weeks to translate our hard work into returned votes."

The Councillors Casey and Fryer will be taking to the streets daily from Friday 24 September until Thursday 8 October. They will be speaking at 102 street meetings over 13 days in: Balmoral, Epsom, Greenlane, Hillsborough, Kingsland, Mt Albert, Mt Eden, Mt Roskill, Owairaka, Pt Chevalier, Sandringham, Three Kings, Waterview, Wesley and Western Springs

ENDS.
