Way to Make It Better
Far North Mayoral candidate Laurie Byers today made public the research that had been undertaken during his campaign, which shows there is only one way to change things and get rid of the current Mayor – by voting Laurie Byers.
Mr Byers said “We have been doing a lot of canvassing during this campaign and have also done some polling, and the consistent message that we get is that this is a very close three-way race.”
“Based on our research, it is very clear that Sir John’s lack of local government experience, lack of local knowledge, and no understanding of the issues that we face, are beginning to catch up on him. It is beyond question that he has thrown the most money at the campaign, but his lack of clear policy means that people are beginning to see through the cheque book.”
“As I am working around the District, it is obvious that a lot of people who had hopes for positive change three years ago now realise they will need to vote differently if they wish to see stable and progressive leadership and growth in our District.”
“The Far North Mayoralty is a close three-way contest”.
“With Sir John’s dearth of policy, and Brown’s promise to blunder on, our numbers tell us that the only way to avoid a repeat of the last three years is to vote Laurie Byers.
“Tactical voting in this election is going to be crucial. The numbers suggest that if you vote for Sir John, you’ll get three more Brown years,” Laurie Byers said.
