Supporting the Local Air Rescue Service
Jules Tapper, Chairman, the Lakes District Air Rescue Trust (LDART), was presented with a cheque for $2000 from Chris Read, General Manager, Aeronautical, Queenstown Airport, today.
“We are delighted to receive support for the service,” said Mr Tapper. “This money will be of great help and it will go towards equipment purchase and training for maintaining the Queenstown Airport based rescue helicopter service run by LDART.”
“As Chairman of the NZ Airports Conference held in Queenstown in October, I welcomed the Conference decision to donate this money from an impromptu auction,” said Mr Read.
“As well as a lot of fun, it helps one of the most important Trusts in the Wakatipu.”
