Mayor looking forward to working with new community committees
Hutt City Council’s new community committee members have been appointed and Mayor Ray Wallace says they are a great reflection of the community.
“All the community committee members are passionate about the communities they represent, full of energy for the job ahead, and I know they’re going to be great representatives.
“The members come from a variety of backgrounds and we also have a good spread of ages. In particular we have three of the youngest ever committee members appointed which is fantastic for our youth community and the future of our city.
“Together with my council colleagues I’m looking forward to working more closely with all our community committees in the year ahead,” says Mayor Wallace.
The appointed members are:
Eastern Community Community:
Edward Heslin, Barbara Branch, Ephraim Gazo and Michael Ellis.
Western Community Committee:
Gillian Berridge, Richard Mooney, Peter Matcham and Linda Brewer.
Central Community Committee:
Alison McKone, Glenda Barratt, Sue Lafrentz and Matthew Renata.
Northern Community Committee:
Frederick Allen, Leigh Sutton, Leole Malama, Dina Awarau.
