Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter transports a French Tourist from the Queen Charlotte Track
The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter transported a French Tourist who had fallen 3m down a bank while walking the Queen Charlotte Track in the Marlborough Sounds today at 3:00pm the 6th Feb 11.
The Helicopter responded to Resolution Bay with a Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedic onboard.
The patient was a 67yr old male from France who had been walking the track with a tour group when he fell.
He was flown to Wellington Hospital where he is being assessed and treated for his injuries.
