Botany Resident’s Party Turns Into a $5,000 Win
When Botany resident, Sanjay Shah decided to host a party for overseas guests last year, he didn’t expect it to make him $5,000 richer.
After purchasing a bottle of Finlandia Vodka to entertain guests from Liquor World Botany, Mr Shah entered a promotion run by the premium Nordic vodka company to win $5,000.
Mr Shah, a Branch Supervisor for a rental car company, says he was overjoyed to hear the news that he was the lucky winner of the nationwide competition.
“I have never won such a great prize in my life, so when I was told I was the winner I couldn’t even react properly – it was too good to believe.”
As part of the promotion during December, Finlandia Vodka also donated $1 per purchase to the Auckland Zoo Conservation Fund raising a total of $1,000.
New Zealand Brand Manager for Finlandia Vodka, Natarsha Griffin, says Finlandia believes that if you are kind to nature, it will return the favour.
“Finland’s nature and pristine glacial spring water has always been an essential element in making Finlandia Vodka. We do our best to find ways to reduce our environmental footprint and this partnership allows all of us to give back to nature,” says Miss Griffin.
“We strive to be good environmental stewards in all aspects of our business, so we are proud to support the Auckland Zoo Conservation Fund”
