Community Radio Hamilton Gigs - The Rotunda Blues!
16 February 2011
The Rotunda Blues!
The Blues Room radio show, Hamilton Blues Society, and Community Radio Hamilton proudly present Rotunda Blues! from 2-5pm on Saturday, 5 March 2011. It’s the first time local blues musicians will perform in this familyfriendly, alcohol-free environment.
The line-up features accomplished singer/songwriter Mike Garner, seasoned performers the ‘River City Rockers’, family-led ensemble ‘Valved’, ‘The Silver Fish’ featuring Hamilton Blues Society president Kevin Ballinger and friends, along with the newly formed but talented ‘Stops on a Dime’.
Organiser and The Blues Room radio host Nate Taiapa is excited about the future of Rotunda Blues! “It’s such a rare thing to have live blues on stage outside, and we’re really hoping we can make this kind of thing happen more often,” he says. “The rotunda is such an excellent venue, and this is a great opportunity for people to get out and enjoy live music - for free!”
Rotunda Blues! is on at the Hamilton Band Rotunda, Grantham and Victoria Streets, Hamilton from 2-5pm on Saturday, 5 March 2011. For more information contact Peter van Vroonhoven, phone 027 530 2672.
