BP NZ to Match all Earthquake Wild Bean Café Donations
BP NZ to match all earthquake donations made through its Wild Bean Café
BP Oil NZ will be matching dollar for dollar all donations made to victims of the Christchurch earthquake through its Wild Bean cafes and BP Connect stores.
Managing Director Mike McGuinness said customers could donate money to support the Red Cross’ Christchurch emergency relief programme through its Wild Bean cafes or BP Connect stores. BP will match all donations.
“This tragedy in Christchurch has shocked us all. Many people are looking for a way to help. As we have BP Connect and Wild Beans stores nationwide we can lend our help in collecting funds for the relief effort. We’ll match everything collected dollar for dollar.
“The Red Cross is providing vital services to those in need and we’re pleased to be able to provide much-needed funds in this way.
“We know from our staff in the city how traumatic this experience has been for everyone. They, like others, have been directly affected, however, they are keen to do all they can to support others.
“Our thoughts are with the people of Christchurch,” Mr McGuinness said.
People can donate at any BP Connect site or Wild Bean Café throughout the country. BP will match the donations.
