Snapper tags into international event

Snapper tags into international event with leading ticketing partner.

Wellington, 4 March 2011.

Snapper today announced that it has partnered with one of New Zealand’s leading event ticketing providers - EventFinder - to provide an integrated contactless ticketing solution for the party events at the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames, to be held in Wellington from 12-19 March 2011.

Snapper CEO Miki Szikszai says, “In December 2010 Snapper announced it had partnered with Outgames to provide a combined personalised ID card, payment and transport solution for up to 2,500 Outgames participants converging on Wellington from around the world.”

Mr Szikszai adds, “The partnership with EventFinder means that Outgamers can now also buy tickets to the Outgames parties on the EventFinder website and have these loaded against their Snapper-powered Outgames ID card. Once party goers top it up, they will be able to travel to the party, gain access into the party, buy their food and drink at the party, and travel home again, all on the same Snapper-powered Outgames ID card.”

“EventFinder is a leading edge, can-do, New Zealand company. We’re incredibly excited about this partnership with EventFinder which makes Snapper even more convenient. We expect Snapper's fast and convenient payment solution to also become the most reusable ticket and payment option for event goers, and a slick paperless and cashless operation for event organisers.”

Michael Turner, CEO at Eventfinder says “The Eventfinder team is very pleased to partner with Snapper to provide easy-to-use, seamless, integrated ticketing solutions for the Outgames events. Eventfinder's platform was built to provide cost-effective and financially transparent ticketing services for event organisers and venues of all sizes, while reducing costs to ticket buyers. This makes for a great partnership with Snapper for these events and many more in the future.”
