New coordinator to help combat graffiti across city
HUTT CITY COUNCIL NEWS RELEASE
15 MARCH 2011
New
graffiti coordinator to help combat graffiti across
city
Mayor Ray Wallace says the appointment of a new graffiti coordinator is a positive step towards combating graffiti in Lower Hutt.
"Making funding available for
this new role was something I pushed hard to get through
Council as I believe taking a coordinated approached to the
graffiti problem in our city is the best way to find a
solution.
"I am pleased that we now have someone in the role and that they are as keen as I am to see an end to needless tagging in Lower Hutt."
Delly Ranginui has been appointed to the role and will be coordinating Council's efforts to remove graffiti in Lower Hutt and working with local communities to get on top of the problem.
He will also be looking to build relationships with utility companies to increase response times to graffiti on their assets such as power boxes.
If you notice graffiti in your
community please contact Council's call centre on

6666.
