Full Quake Inquiry Group (F.Q.I.G.)
The Full Quake Inquiry Group (FQIG) is a new initiative by bereaved persons who wish to lobby for more truth. It has a manifesto of seeking a full quake inquiry, inclusive of the adequacy of quake forecasting post September 4, and of whether adequate warnings and preparations were delivered by responsible agencies (ECAN, local and national Government).
Our members do not accept the "spin" released today alleging that the seismic lensing which was a predictable matter able to worsen the expected quake was a novel, freak, or unlucky factor and one therefore that could not have been anticipated with high probability. A Geologist advises us.
We wish the inquiry to extend far wider than just having a focus on building standards and failures - a waste of 6 million dollars when other factors are seen as more likely to have created an excessive life toll.
Bereaved persons and anyone who has something to say, information to offer, or suggestions for material to incorporate to our upcoming website is invited in the first instance to leave a message.
