Ethnic People’s Advisory Panel members announced


On March 8th, the Mayor’s office announced the members of the Ethnic People’s Advisory Panel which has been drawn from ten different nationalities. It is an honour for the members to be appointed to this prestigious Panel and have an opportunity to contribute towards achieving the greater vision of Auckland.

“I would like to congratulate each and every member of the Panel who has been appointed. I am sure all the members have a lot to share from the immense knowledge and experience that each one of them possess.

It is a matter of huge honour and recognition of the attributes that Waitakere Ethnic Board has, as five of the members on the Panel belong to WEB. I would like to personally congratulate Grace Ryu, Susan Zhu, Camille Nakhid and Ann Pala who have made huge contribution to the of the Waitakere Ethnic Board and are looking forward to do the same for EPAP. It is a pleasure to be in the company of people who support the same vision. I am looking forward to meet all the Panel members at an informal meeting scheduled for Friday 18th March at the Auckland City Townhall ’ says Amail Habib, President of the Waitakere Ethnic Board.

‘We shall give our best to fulfil the vision of the Mayor to make Auckland the most liveable city in the world with Ethnic fabric.’ said Mr Habib

Reverend Amail Habib has also accepted the role of interim chairperson. He is thankful to the His Worship the Mayor for showing his confidence in the members of the Panel.
