Wellington Westpac Rescue Helicopter transports a Patient from Wainuiomata
The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Catchpool on the Coast Rd in the Wainuiomata last night at 6:30 pm 2 April 11.
A 11yr old boy from Lower Hutt had been climbing a tree at the Catchpool BBQ area when he fell approx 6m.
The Helicopter responded to with a Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedic on board.
The helicopter was able to land in the BBQ area where the boy was.
The patient was flown to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department where he is being treated for possible head and neck injuries.
