VENUE: Owairaka Park, 56 Owairaka Road, Mount Albert, Auckland
DATE: Saturday 16 April, 2011
TIME: 12.00pm – 4.00pm

Youthtown, in conjunction with Auckland Council, is holding Youth in the Park - a free community event for youth and families this Saturday at Owairaka Park in Mount Albert.

A range of exciting youth-oriented activities will be on offer including a skate and TAG competition, basketball shootout, rock climbing wall, air brush tattooing, tug of war, sausage sizzle. There will be loads of great prizes to be won on the day.

Youthtown CEO, Keith Thorpe, says: “We are delighted to be putting on this free event for the second year running. The day out provides the ideal opportunity for families and youth to get together and take part in a range of interactive activities to celebrate the start of the school holidays.

“It’s also a great introduction to the Youthtown after school sports programme we will be running from Owairaka Park every Friday in Term 2 from 4-6pm, with different activities planned every week.”

Youthtown will be running additional Youth in the Park events over the coming months at Talbot Park in Panmure and Glenavon School in Blockhouse Bay.
