Fashion show fundraiser to shake Hamilton

Quake Appearance, the most fashionable Christchurch earthquake fundraiser is set to shake Hamilton on 30th April 2011, 8pm at the Meteor Theatre.

Quake Appearance, proudly presented by Nouveau Management will showcase a selection of New Zealand’s top designers with all proceeds going to the Red Cross Christchurch Earthquake Appeal. The great cause has seen designers enlist to show their support of Christchurch and present Hamilton fashionistas with their latest season range. Annah Stretton, Sera Lilly, Ooby Ryn, Augustine International, NYNE and Sarah Horton have already established their participation of the event, with more designers still to be confirmed.

Although the rugby field is where they are most at home, a selection of Chiefs rugby players will strut alongside the 2010 New Zealand’s Next Top Model contestants while Tronik DJ's spin the decks. The girls will show the boys how it is done, with 2010 Runner Up Michaela Steencamp making the trip up from her hometown of Christchurch to model at the event. Special guest, Nick Oswald, the 2011 Cleo Bachelor of the Year winner will host Quake Appearance with Waikato cheerleader Angela Clements.

Natalie Sangster, Event Organiser says, “Quake Appearance was developed to raise funds for the Christchurch community while still putting on a great show. The fashion and retail industry in Canterbury has been severely affected and this just one way to help support struggling designers and shop owners.”

Tickets go on sale today at Ticketek www.ticketek.co.nz. Ticket prices are $40 adult and $25 student with all proceeds going to the Red Cross Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.
