Iconic Event Celebrates 10 Years

The first week of May has proved to be an exciting time for Rotorua’s charity event of the year - Wearable Creationz. Not only has the Rotorua Creative Art Trust released its new web site wearablecreationz.co.nz, tickets also went on sale this week, with people already securing their tickets to what is expected to be the biggest show ever.

In the first few hours of being available, scores of tickets were sold and tables booked for one of the three shows now available to audiences. Last year the organizers introduced the concept of three shows and were overwhelmed with how many people attended the shows. As with other years the public can expect some new exciting experiences and a fantastic show, says Barbara Cook, Chair of the Rotorua Creative Art Trust. “This year we celebrate 10 years of our event and the recognition of winning the 2010 TrustPower Spirit of Rotorua Supreme Award, so we are planning something really special to celebrate”.

Entry forms can be downloaded from the website, including information on the revised judging criteria.

Following on from last years successful Art Exhibition, the Creative Art Trust will again exhibit hundreds of works of art from around the country in the week prior to the main event. Any artists interested in being part of this year’s exhibition should download a submission form from the website and submit it, before June 1st.

Tickets to the shows on the 18th, 19th & 20th August can be purchased online, or at the Ticketmaster office in the Convention Centre Fenton Street.
