Meridian Kids Auckland Bike Jam 2011

Meridian Kids Auckland Bike jam 2011 – ‘Ten years of fun, mud and wheels’.

New Venue: Totara Park, Manukau, Sunday May 22, 2011

This is the 10th birthday for the Kids’ Jams which has run in Auckland for all those years at Woodhill Mountain Bike park, attracting an average of 400 – 500 kids.

National organiser - Jill Ford says: “To keep the event exciting we have often moved the venue is other centres and with the recent MT Bike track development in Totara Park, we decided to try it out.”

“The local coordinators – Auckland MT Bike club suggested the move and having just visited the venue I think it should be great. It is also much more accessible than Woodhill, being just off the Southern Motorway” says Jill.

The Meridian Kids' Bike Jams are the largest mountain bike series for young people in Australasia.

Jill says “it's a chance for kids of all ages to participate in a fun-filled, off road bike event where everyone gets a medal, water bottle and goodies”.

“With three courses for different abilities, and a skills area for kids to play on, all kids need is attitude, energy, a two wheeler and a helmet,” she says.

All entrants will receive a special 10th anniversary medal, as well as the other goodies.
