Terrace Downs introduces the Voluntourism Equation as further support for Christchurch’s Renaissance

Although much has been done in the past few months since that February day in Christchurch when the earth shook and many lives changed dramatically, it is relatively just a beginning.

Christchurch and its surrounds have been supported in many ways - from the process of rebuilding to basic support assistance. Among these supports was [3]Terrace Downs Resort in the Canterbury High Country, giving thanks that it emerged completely intact from the event, and is fully operational.

Terrace Downs has decided to expand their support by bringing voluntourism conferences and events to Canterbury – in an effort to attract new (and existing) corporate event related business in to the region.

This newly coined word combines the best of three aspects: A great conference or event at Terrace Downs; the stunning Canterbury High Country setting acting as a natural playground for thrill-seekers and those who enjoy more genteel pursuits; plus time aside to give some assistance to the area – sponsored by Terrace Downs by way of added bonus incentives for the group, for choosing the Christchurch region and the 2010 award-winning resort.
