TELECOM CALL CENTRE TO ANSWER RISE UP
CHRISTCHURCH TELETHON PHONES
Telecom employees from Christchurch have volunteered their own time to answer the national calls for the Rise Up Christchurch - Te Kotahitanga telethon this Sunday 22 May.
Alongside Telecom people, celebrity guests will be answering calls throughout the day including supermodel Rachel Hunter, the Crusaders, Maori TV presenter Julian Wilcox, and more.
Trish Keith, a born and bred Cantabrian, who is heading up Telecom’s Christchurch Recovery Project said the Christchurch team is in full support of the Rise Up Christchurch - Te Kotahitanga telethon.
“Telecom has a significant call centre presence in Christchurch but people from right across our different business units have been so keen get in and support the telethon.
“So many of our people here in Christchurch have firsthand experience of the challenges the city has been facing since the quake. It’s really fantastic to have our call centre in Christchurch answer the telethon phones alongside Kiwi celebrities. Everyone involved is excited about the opportunity to give something back to the local community,” said Ms Keith.
