Christchurch Airport quake update
Christchurch Airport terminal has been re-opened. “We are now waiting for the final checks on the runways to be completed before flights can resume, “ said Christchurch Airport’s CEO Jim Boult. He expected that process to be completed in the next half hour.
Passengers booked on flights are requested to check with their airlines before coming to the airport.
All Jetstar and Qantas flights were cancelled earlier in the day due to the volcanic ash in the atmosphere from the Chilean volcanic eruption.
