Southern Motorway closure at Victoria Park
The NZ Transport Agency advises drivers that a section of the Southern Motorway (State Highway 1) southbound from Fanshawe Street to Hobson Street, will be closed tonight (Tuesday,5 July) to replace a damaged joint on the Victoria Park viaduct.
The work will be carried out between 11pm and 4am tomorrow.
The NZTA says that although traffic at that time of night is light, drivers should allow some extra time for their journeys. Detours will direct traffic through the CBD to rejoin the Southern Motorway at the Grafton Gully on ramp.
Northbound traffic using the Victoria Park viaduct is not affected by the closure.
