The BEST Pasifika
Leadership Academy and Charitable Foundation plans to
celebrate the Sir Peter Blake Leadership Week with a touch
of Pacific flavour.
The annual Leadership Week highlights the strategic relevance and value that great leadership provides for New Zealand. Organisations, businesses and schools around the country take part in a range of activities designed to inspire, develop and celebrate great Kiwi leadership.
CEO, Beatrice Faumuinā ONZM will host some of this country’s top sports role models in an intimate fun filled evening to highlight outstanding leadership from a Pacific perspective.
Well known sports agent, Phil Kingsley-Jones is the MC for the evening and joining him are former Warriors Captain, Monty Betham, Ex All Blacks Frank Bunce and Eroni Clarke.
Beatrice Faumuinā says it’s an honour to have such talented role models who have achieved great success in their respective fields and whom have become leaders in their own right.
“This is an opportunity to hear up close and personal their experience on what leadership is; and their individual journeys.”
The BEST Pasifika Leadership Academy and Charitable Foundation were both launched in 2010 by Auckland Mayor, Len Brown and aims to help lift Pacific family incomes and living standards by increasing the number of Pacific people starting and leading New Zealand businesses and organisations through leadership and mentoring programmes.
In partnership with the University of Auckland, the BEST Pasifika Leadership Academy will deliver the Pasifika Leadership Programme. The Programme blends post-graduate courses for business leadership and entrepreneurship interwoven within a Pasifika context.
The BEST Pasifika Leadership Academy and Charitable Foundation will also use the occasion to launch its official website.
The event is being held this Thursday, 7 July at 7.30pm at the Red Theatre at Unitec, Ground Floor, The Hub, Building 180(between Gates 3 & 4), Carrington Road, Pt Chevalier
