Boundary Road Brewery Finds the Chosen One
Nine hundred and ninety nine Kiwi beer lovers have cast their votes and The Boundary Road Brewery Chosen One has been selected.
Ben Shaw, Boundary Road Brewery marketing manager says the brewery was inundated with applications from beer enthusiasts wanting to take up the unpaid position of official beer tasters.
“Kiwi beer lovers really did answer our call for applications and we were amazed at the tens of thousands of applicants who applied for the 999 positions. Tasters sampled three contenders; A, B and C with the overwhelming majority voting for beer B, which will now be launched as the Chosen One. The winning brew is medium bodied with a biscuity base, soft bitterness and a pleasant hop aroma – I am confident Kiwi beer lovers will enjoy it when it is released for sale.”
The recruitment drive took place last month with the brewery seeking 999 beer tasters. The 999 tasters then had the arduous job of sampling three beers known as A, B and C and casting their vote at www.TheChosenOne.co.nz on which one would make it into the new Boundary Road Brewery range to a thirsty public.
The Chosen One will be available to purchase from 1 August, along with an ale, pilsner and ginger beer by The Boundary Road Brewery.
