SkyJump celebrates 10 years by throwing you off for free!
It’s all on tomorrow (Thursday 21 July) as SkyJump leaps into its eleventh year, by celebrating its tenth birthday in style! From 8.30am – 3.30pm tomorrow, there’s free chances on offer to join the likes of Tom Cruise, Charlize Theron, Christina Applegate, Temuera Morrison, Lucy Lawless, Billy Connelly and a host of other celebs in diving the 192 meters off the Sky Tower to complete the world famous SkyJump!
Punters need to get themselves down to Number 1 Queen St Café (opposite the Ferry Building) between 8.30am and 11am to collect a special ticket, then race up to SkyJump located at SKYCITY Auckland on the corner of Federal and Victoria Streets to join the queue. Jump numbers will be limited on the day due to the maximum number of jumps achievable so you need to be early! All jumpers on the day also qualify to enter the draw to win a free trip for two to Las Vegas, to experience the highest SkyJump in the world off the Stratosphere Tower!* thanks to SkyJump and Grabaseat.
Steve Weidmann, owner and operator of SkyJump in New Zealand says: “We are super excited to be chucking so many people off for free on our 10th birthday and are expecting a cracker of a day!
It has been an amazing ten years having fun and great moments with New Zealanders who have really supported our business as well as the thousands of tourists who will especially remember their visit to New Zealand’s biggest city because of their great jump from the Sky Tower.
We’ve also has so many memorable moments, from Paul Henry’s mum doing the jump for her 79th birthday to the all manner of celebs who have just loved it and spread the word back home such as Zachary Quinto on Letterman.
Thanks to all our staff and customers and good luck to the winners of the big trip!”
*Return flights for two on Grabaseat’s 5th Birthday flight from Auckland direct to Las Vegas, departing 7 August, returning 13 August.
Grand prize drawn at 4.30pm on Thursday July 21 under the SkyJump landing platform at SKYCITY. Winner must be present to claim the prize.
