New text alert service at Hutt City Libraries
Hutt City Libraries are set to offer a new text alert service to remind customers when items are due back and when they are overdue.
From Monday, customers can sign up at any Hutt
City library or online at www.library.huttcity.govt.nz
Libraries digital services manager Annette Beattie says the new service is part of Hutt City Libraries' commitment to using technology to deliver excellent customer service.
"Many of our customers use mobile phones so text alerts are a great way to send them reminders and help them avoid overdue charges.
"Text alerts are also ideal for people with busy lives who often forget when their books, CDs or DVDs are due back.
"It's free to sign up and the new service complements our existing email alerts."
